Smitten with Knittin'

There are some seriously talented people in our congregation, not the least of which are those who wield long pointed needles, balls of yarn and are truly Smitten with Knittin'! This crafty ministry creates beautiful knitted and crocheted items that are prayed over with each knit, pearl and chain stitch . There is a faithful group that meet and enjoy fellowship while sharing their love for the craft. 

A primary focus is making Prayer shawls/Prayer blankets, as well as other items most needed within the community. These items include; lap blankets for Veterans in the hospital, preemie and newborn hats, Chemo caps, hats/scarves/mittens distributed through the Milford Food Pantry and Town Library, and items for the Christmas Fair. We gladly welcome new members, and creative ideas for ways our efforts can support the community.  Anyone with a talent for spinning yarns or a desire to learn are urged to check out the Smitten!
