Begun in 2015, this unique ministry hosted monthly events at two centrally located Milford laundromats. Volunteers from Trinity facilitated these events, greeting customers and offering them a free roll of quarters (value: $10), laundry soap, dryer sheets and even trash bags for use as laundry bags, if needed.
During the pandemic we have decided it is not safe to go to the laundromat for any volunteer work. We have, however, provided premade packets of supplies to a contact in the Milford Police Department who works with the police and fire departments of several surrounding towns. She also collaborates with Catholic Charities and is able to get what we supply out to people in need. Each packet has 5 soap pods, 5 dryer sheets, 1 large bag for clean laundry and a $10 roll of quarters.
