Bishop Miguelina Howell’s Visitation
Picture
Our new Diocesan Bishop, Miguelina Howell, visited Trinity on Sunday, May 17, 2026, and received two parishioners, Lynne and Gail, into The Episcopal Church. Bishop Miguelina made every effort to greet and meet as many parishioners as possible, both during The Peace at the Eucharist, and later, at Coffee Hour. It was a wonderful and happy morning.
New Sacred Symbol for Our Diocese: The Tree of Life
Picture
Bishop Miguelina has chosen The Tree of Life as a sacred symbol our shared Bishop Miguelina has chosen The Tree of Life as a sacred symbol our shared ministry in the Diocese of Western Massachusetts. Of this symbol, our new Bishop shares:

“In this season of new beginnings, the Tree of Life has been chosen as a central symbol for our shared ministry. Its roots speak of our deep grounding in Christ, in Scripture, and in the rich traditions of the Church. Its trunk reflects strength and stability, the steady presence of God among us. Its branches reach outward, a sign of mission, growth, and the many ways we are called to serve in the world. Its leaves evoke renewal, wisdom, and healing, inviting us to be bearers of God’s life in a world longing for wholeness.”

Mid-Year Parish Meeting – You Are Invited on June 14th
Picture
Please mark your calendars to attend this community discussion before we all start our summer schedules.  In place of the June Vestry meeting, we'd like to gather together in the spirit of last year's "Envisioning Trinity" meetings. We made progress on many of the suggestions that came out of our three meetings last year and would like to hear your thoughts on how things are going and what other actions should be on our radar for the second half of 2026.  After time for some coffee, we'll meet downstairs at 10:30.  We did not want to do this on the traditional 3rd Sunday meeting day, as it is Father's Day.  Please join us - your input matters!!
Congratulations Graduates 2026
Picture
Trinity proudly sends congratulations and blessings to all in the Trinity family celebrating graduations this year.  Whether 8th grade, High school, College, or beyond, we are proud of your accomplishments and wish you great success as you move forward to the next phase of your educational journey or into the workplace.  We offer special congratulations to Evelyn Yaroshefski as she applied for and received a Trinity GFS Scholarship towards her college expenses next year.  Evelyn is graduating from Milford High School and plans to attend Worcester State University in the Fall.
Community Meals: A Handmade Expression of Gratitude

Using his own hands and skills, along with wood, a magnet, and a nearly invisible piece of nylon string, a guest who regularly visits the weekly Community Meals program recently offered this powerful expression of his gratitude for the support he receives through the program
Saint Mary’s & Trinity Covenant: Pulpit Swap – May 31st
Yesterday, Father Peter Joyce, the Pastor of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish here in Milford, preached at the 9am Eucharist at Trinity, and members of the Saint Mary’ Music Ministry joined the Trinity Music Ministry at the same Eucharist. Then the Music Ministry Teams of both parishes ran over to Saint Mary’s and sang beautifully at the 10:30 Mass there. And our Friend, Jonathan, led the combined choirs at both liturgies, and played the organ and piano as well. This “Pulpit Swap” was intended to mark the anniversary of the Covenant that has existed between our two parishes for over a half-century, since April of 1972.

Saint Mary’s & Trinity Covenant: Father Peter’s New Ministry
Picture
Father Peter announced on Sunday that he received a letter from his Bishop asking him to serve the Parish of Saint Anna’s in Leominster, effective July 1, 2026.

Father Dario Acevedo, who now serves at Saint Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg, will begin a new ministry of shepherding Saint Mary of the Assumption here in Milford.

I cannot fully express my gratitude and appreciation for Father Peter’s ministry to the People of Saint Mary’s and the People of Milford. Guiding and shepherding the three language communities that make up Saint Mary’s though COVID, through the terrible tribulations in the immigrant communities, through a significant and amazing church remodeling and rehabilitation process, and through all the daily moments of pastoring a parish the size of Saint Mary’s for these past nine years.

And I am so very grateful for Father Peter’s commitment in word, action, and presence to The Covenant that exists between our two parishes.

Let us pray for the People – our Sisters and Brothers - of Saint Mary’s, Deacon Dave, and our Friend, Jonathan, during this period of transition,
and for Father Peter and Father Dario as they both complete present ministries and begin new ministries.
A Visitation and a Sweet Gift
Picture
The new Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally, visited Rome in late April to meet with the new Bishop of Rome, Robert Prevost, Leo XVI. They had a conversation, prayed together, and exchanged gifts. Here Archbishop Sarah offers Pope Leo a jar of honey, made with the gracious cooperation of British Bees.
Picture
Quoting Saint Augustine, Pope Leo shared: “The need for unity for the sake of a more fruitful evangelization has been a theme throughout my own ministry; indeed it is reflected in the motto I chose when I became a bishop: In Illo uno unum, “In the One — that is Christ — we are one.”
