Saint Mary’s – Trinity Covenant News:
Parish Feast Day

We invite your thoughts and prayers for our Sisters and Brothers of Saint Mary’s
and their new Pastor, Father Dario Acevedo,
as they celebrate their parish Feast Day on August 15th.
Picture
The Episcopal Book of Common Prayer offers this prayer for that special day:

Saint Mary the Virgin – August 15th
O God, you have taken to yourself the blessed Virgin Mary,
mother of your incarnate Son: Grant that we, who have been
redeemed by his blood, may share with her the glory of your
eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives
and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,
now and for ever. Amen.
The Reverend Dan Strong – Passing into Eternal Life
Father Dan Strong, who served as Trinity’s Interim Priest in 2001-2002,
passed beyond what our mortal eyes can now see,
on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

We trust that he is now in the luminous embrace of the God who created him,
and whose compassionate eyes have never left him, and never will.

Refreshed Prayer List Practices

The Prayers of the People are a vital part of our Sunday worship, both in the Holy Eucharist and Morning Prayer. They are an opportunity for us, as the People of Trinity, to name before God those who are in need of prayer, holding them in love and commending them to God's merciful care as we pray together as a parish community.

Over the past several months, the Vestry and Fr. Dan have received thoughtful feedback about how best to ensure that our parish prayer list remains both welcoming and reflective of current prayer needs. Beginning in September, we will introduce a simple process to help keep the public prayer list current while continuing to include those who are facing ongoing challenges.
Picture
If you have someone on the current prayer list and would like them to remain there after the August 30th service, please contact Bonnie in the parish office. Beginning September 6th, the prayer list will include all names that have been renewed, along with any new requests received.

Going forward, new prayer requests will remain on the list for four weeks. If continued public prayer is desired, simply let Bonnie know, and the name will be renewed for another four-week period. For those living with a terminal illness, chronic condition, long-term illness, or another ongoing circumstance for which continued public prayer is appropriate, please let Bonnie know when you submit the request so the name may remain on the list as needed, without requiring repeated renewals.
Picture
During worship, only first names will be spoken aloud during the Prayers of the People. When full names are provided, they will continue to be printed in the bulletin.

To add or renew a name, please contact Bonnie by email at [email protected], by calling the parish office at 508-473-8464, or by completing a prayer request card in the pew and placing it in the offering plate.
Fr. Dan also wants everyone to know that a request for the public prayer list is never the only way to ask for prayer. If you would like him to hold a person, situation, or intention in his personal prayers, he would be honored to do so, whether or not you wish to include it in the public prayers of the Church.
